Kuso gives back

KwaThema – Kutlwano Social Organisation (Kuso) donated food parcels to learners at Kangeziwe Primary School on Wednesday.

The men’s organisation, which aims to alleviate poverty in the community of Kwatsaduza, has taken it upon itself to regularly donate food parcels and other necessities to schools, old age homes and other local stakeholders.

Kuso’s head of communications, Nixon Masuku, says that as men of the community it is their social responsibility to make sure that they fight poverty, especially at schools because learners are the most important people in the community.

“Through education these learners will be able to break the cycle of poverty in their homes and community, so it’s imperative that we take care of them,” he says.

School principal George Skaka says this generous donation to the learners of the school will go a long way, as many of the learners are part of the feeding scheme and after-care centre, which makes sure that they are fed every day.

“I’m happy that Kuso members continuously come and donate at the school. I regard them as stakeholders of the school because of their unfailing commitment to make a difference,” he says.
