Local soccer star dies

He was born on July 7, 1982, in Duduza, Nigel.

Mothlaping started his education at the Iphahamiseng Primary School where his love of soccer began and then later proceeded to further his studies at Sizanani High School.

Mothlaping kicked off his professional football career when he joined Bloemfontein Celtics in 2005 until 2014 and then moved to the Vasco Da Gama club in Cape Town until 2015.

He was passionate and dedicated to his career as a football player and as a result inspired a lot of young people around Kwatsaduza.

Mothlaping’s funeral service will take place on Saturday at the AME Church in Lekope Street, Duduza from 7am and the cortege will proceed to the Nigel Cemetery at 9am.
