WATCH: Lad’s love of entertainment
KwaThema – Leago ‘Equiv Smalz’ Moganedi is a 16-year-old from KwaThema who says entertainment is where his heart belongs.
He loves rapping, acting and presenting and as a result, last year he was able to join an advertising and acting agency to make his dreams a reality.
“I am into entertainment and started rapping when I was in Grade Eight. However, I stopped for about three years then went back to it again last year.
“Now I have a song which I released in December produced by Masikela ‘Krazy’ Motsai and Thabo Mopohlo of Soon Productions and the response I have received has been overwhelming.
“This is not the only song I have worked on, there are many others,” he says.
Moganedi says when he raps he is inspired by what is happening around him and he hopes to be one of the rappers in SA to bring change and put more focus on lyrics so that they can have more meaning.
