Ace Auto Ayoba win against Kathorus

KwaThema – Ace Auto Ayoba thrashed Kathorus FC from Vosloorus, 4-0 in the first match of the year of the ABC Mostepe League.

The game was played at the KwaThema Stadium on Sunday.

In the first 15 minutes of the first half, Mduduzi Methula (21) of Ace Auto Ayoba scored the opening goal, which gave his team confidence to keep up the lead as long as possible.

And though the opponents fought strongly to try and equalise soon after that, Ace Auto Ayoba keeper Tshepo “Khune” Nkabinde made several saves to ensure no goal went into the net.

The first half saw numerous other attempts at goal from both sides but by half time the score remained 1-0.

Five minutes into the second half Methula bagged his second goal for the day.

In the heat of the game, within 10 minutes from the start of the second half Ace Auto Ayoba’s Bongani Maseko (26) was given a red card.

Kathorus tried to capitalise on this, making several attempts at shooting a goal, but the attempts were fruitless as luck was just not on their side.

At 25 minutes Bouy Califonia (19) put his name on the scoreboard with the third goal of the match.

And 10 minutes before the final whistle blew, goal keeper Nkabinde scored the fourth goal.

Home team Ace Auto Ayoba will play their next match at the KwaThema Stadium on Sunday, at 3pm against Alex FC.
