Trust boosts local business

Duduza – Locals Victor and Zandile Ncala recently received a R50 000 grant from the Ekurhuleni Peermont Chambers of Commerce Trust to improve their enterprise.

The family started their business venture, which offered accounting, bookkeeping and tax consulting services in 2013.

This was after Victor, a qualified professional tax practitioner, was involved in a car accident which resulted in him suffering from hearing loss and subsequently losing his job as a financial executive.

Without funds Victor, assisted by Zandile, an experienced and qualified administrator, have been operating the business from an Internet café.

Because of the funding made possible by the trust, the Ncalas have been able to move into their own premises and purchase three desktops and two laptop computers, accountants’ user software, payroll software and a multipurpose printer.

“Our primary stream of revenue has been coming from the sale of tax services to individuals and small to medium businesses, assisting small businesses with preparing their annual tax returns during the primary tax season,” says Victor.

Now, due to the grant, equipment and software the Ncalas will be able to grow their business even further, providing additional services.
