A win for Arsenal

KwaThema - Last Saturday, Arsenal thrashed Langaville FC 5-3 in a friendly match at the KwaThema Sports Complex.

The match was organised by the coaches, so that the players may keep fit during the festive season, so they are ready for next year’s season.

Arsenal proved to be stronger and hungrier for a win after Andile Mbonani scored the first goal 10 minutes into the first half.

Langaville were put under pressure to get an equaliser, which proved to be hard, as the defence from Arsenal was too strong.

Arsenal’s Mbonani was on fire as he secured yet another goal, giving them a 2-0 lead.

Before the referee blew the whistle to end the first half, Arsenal extended their lead when Tisetso Ncukwana scored.

Going into the second half, Langaville needed a strategy to get goals.

Minutes into the second half, Arsenal’s Mxolisi Sithole sneaked in another goal for Arsenal, pushing Langaville to get goals in fast.

In the last 30 minutes of the match Langville improved their attack and defence, allowing Bamba Malewa to secure their very first goal of the match.

Lanagaville’s Mxolisi Sibeko managed to score the second goal and Bonginkosi Masango the third, ending the match with a 5-3 score.
