Nyaope abuse addressed
KwaThema – Young people gathered to bring about positive change in KwaThema, with a 'stop nyaope campaign fun day'.
This initiative was made possible by Cross Musiq Youth Empowerment at the KwaThema Extension Two grounds.
“We are pleased with the attendance of the people and thank all those who came through to support the event.
“With this event, we wanted to bring young people together to address the issue of nyaope, to try and assist those that are already addicted and also to show off the talent of upcoming artists, poets, DJs and dancers.
“Though it was our first time hosting such an event, we are still committed to doing it more frequently and at different locations, so that the positive changes we want to see in our communities can be ongoing,” says host, Nkululeko Gugushe.
He adds that the take charge and change your kasi movement will be back next year.
