City Royals win 1-0 against RDP

Tsakane – City Royals continued their winning streak when they beat RDP 1-0 in a Tsamaya League match over the weekend.

The game took place at the Malandela Ground in Tsakane.

The defending champions, City Royals, started the match strong and made their presence felt as they striked more chances at goal in the first half.

RDP did not back down from the fight and mounted an attacking defense to try and keep their opponents from taking the lead.

In the middle of the first half RDP also created goal opportunities, but this did not prove fruitful.

Twenty five minutes into the first half, Sello ‘Qanda’ Sondezi of City Royals, netted the opening goal to make the half time score 1-0.

A rejuvenated RDP side, came back onto the pitch, in the second half of the game and attempted to equalise the goal but missed several shots on target.

City Royals kept a firm defense, which led them to victory on the day and which ensured that they remain firmly at the top of the league.
