Ekurhuleni Soccer Festive Tournament coming soon
Kwatsaduza - The fourth annual Ekurhuleni Soccer Festive Tournament will kickoff on December 16.
This year’s matches, will be played by the senior men, juniors (under 11, 13, 15, 17), senior ladies and masters men’s team.
Players will use various venues for the games including the Geluksdal, Duduza, KwaThema and the Tsakane Stadiums.
One of the organisers, Mfaniseni Kunene, says the off season tournament will end with the final matches on December 30.
“The tournament is open to anyone, apart from the junior teams, as those have already been selected. The purpose of this tournament is to keep people busy and off the streets during the festive season with the hope at least some of them will keep from partaking in the wrong things. It is also to promote living a healthy lifestyle during the December holidays,” says Kunene.
He adds that registrations are already open and encourages players to contact the organisers if they would like to participate in the tournament.
