Jealous Down lose to the Mighty Falcons
KwaThema – The Mighty Falcons u/13 boys team won 2-1 against Jealous Down in the SLFA League round robin stages at the KwaThema Sports Complex.
The Saturday matched proved to be difficult for both teams as they struggled to get the ball behind the net.
Njabulo Hlongwane (13), of Jealous Down, persevered and scored the first goal of the match after much dribbling.
Minutes before the referee could blow the whistle to end the first half Mighty Falcons’ Kgotso Kunene scored the equalising goal.
In the second half both teams came onto the field with a different strategy and more zeal to out play their opponent.
In an attempt to prevent a Mighty Falcons goal in the last five minutes of the game, Jealous Down’s Siphesihle Twala netted an own goal, which led the Mighty Falcons to victory.
