A new karate fighting style introduced

KwaThema - Shihan Micheal Cindi (61) from the KwaThema Dojo has introduced Koshiki in his karate classes.

Cindi qualified to teach Koshiki in 2008 after attending seminars that were hosted by the founder of Koshiki, Shihan Imtaiz Abdulla, from Japan.

He explains that Koshiki is made up from old karate fighting styles.

It is a full contact fighting method and requires karatekas to wear chest and head guards.

“Koshiki is a new fighting method that local karate instructors can learn and introduce to their students,” says Cindi.

He invites all karate senseis to attend Koshiki classes at Kenneth Masekela Secondary School in KwaThema from September 16, at 5.30pm.

For more information, contact Cindi on 073 212 9444.
