Local athlete to represent Gauteng
Tsakane - Mnelisi Duza (31) from Langaville has been selected to represent Gauteng at the South African Cross Country Championships.
The event will be held in Mpumalanga tomorrow (Saturday).
The athlete from the Kwatsaduza Athletic Club will be participating in the 8km event.
Duze, who started running at a young age, says he is more than prepared for the competition and is confident he will do well.
He adds that 8km will not be difficult for him because he runs longer distances when he trains every day.
“I train twice a day and I believe my training will give good results at the championships,” says Duze.
He expressed his gratitude to his employers who are continuously supportive of him and his athletic career.
