Dignity restored at KwaThema Cemetery
KwaThema - Renovations at the KwaThema Cemetery came to an end on Tuesday after a garden was planted and a signboard erected.
The renovations followed the many complaints from residents about the poor condition of the cemetery.
Community liaison officer Mxolisi Kota (37) is happy the project was a success and that the community now has a cemetery in good condition.
“We would like it to stay this way at all times,” says Kota.
He added their biggest challenge is cattle grazing inside the cemetery.
Resident Lerato Moloi (43) is pleased the cemetery received an upgrade and believes dignity will be restored to the cemetery.
“As community members, we also need to take care of the cemetery and not allow any vandalism to take place,” says Moloi.
