Community leaders rewarded

Tsakane - Last Friday, the Rawson Brakpan branch donated two netball poles and hosted a sports day at Snake Park in Sekese Street, Tsakane.

The real estate agency arranged the day to show appreciation to the many community leaders who have been making a difference in the community and entertaining young children through sports.

Community leaders were awarded Certificates of Appreciation for the sterling job they have been doing with the community of Tsakane.

Rawson agent Vusi Shabangu (55) says it is important that leaders and residents who are doing good are recognised and thanked for their great contributions to the community.

“We want them to continue with their good work and to be motivated because there are people who are watching and acknowledging their good work,” says Shabangu.

The company is set to start a girls netball team in Tsakane, so young girls may engage in sports and recreation and keep away from all the negative things that are happening in the community.

Community leader, Samuel Malinga (49), expressed the belief that it’s of importance that companies come and plow back into the communities, so that residents may be encouraged to do more in the community.

“I am so happy that Rawson felt the need to recognise us and donate to the community, and I hope they will continue to do so with other communities in Kwatsaduza,” says Malinga.
