The beauty training, started on July 22, with a nail workshop at the foundation’s premises in Tsakane.

Dineo Motaung, a training practitioner from Ithemba Foundation, believes the training will help the women gain skills which they will use in the future to open their own businesses and be able to feed their families.

“After completing the two weeks of training, participants will receive certificates which will help them start their own businesses,” says Motaung.

She also adds that the programme is aimed at ensuring that women learn the skills which they will use to create employment for themselves.

Motaung indicated that after the beauty training, the foundation will continue to help the women by ensuring that they are also trained in entrepreneurship to ensure that the women can make their beauty businesses successful.

10 unemployed women from Kwatsaduza benefited from the first nail training workshop.

One of the beauty trainees, Promise Ndlovu (29), says the training will help her be to able to provide for her family.

The unemployed mother says the knowledge which she will gain from the training will also be a key to a better future for her.
