The incident took place on Friday at around 9pm.
Springs police spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora says the victim was asleep inside her shack when she heard someone removing one of the zinc sheets from the shack.
“The victim asked who was there, and she did not get a response until two armed suspects stormed inside the shack and demanded cash from her,” says Ramphora.
“She gave them R600 and two cellphones, and the suspects then left the scene.”
Police are investigating a case of house robbery.
