KwaThema spokesman Capt Mandla Phori says when the woman went to investigate, she saw an unknown man outside her house.
The man knocked again, and the woman opened the door, alleging she heard the voice of one of her tenants.
The unknown man entered her house and sat on her bed.
The woman noticed a beer bottle in the man’s hand and continuously questioned him about the purpose of his visit, to which he never responded.
She claims after about five minutes, he got up, grabbed her and started to undress her.
She was strong enough to fight him off and the man ran away.
The woman reported the incident to police, who arrested a 32-year-old suspect for attempted rape later that morning.
