Tsakane business owner helps youth study

Tsakane - Life is about to change for the better for three young people from Tsakane, all thanks to a local businessman.

After trying to continue with their studies after matric, Teboho Walaza (23), Busisiwe Maseko (26) and Phofotsana Mpatsi (25) from Tsakane were forced to drop out of college because their families could no longer afford to pay for their studies.

Today, they are currently studying a five-month computer course and their future looks bright.

Their fees have been paid by Tsakane Medicare Pharmacy owner Bhandyi Ntiwane.

Ntiwane says he wants to ensure they have a bright future and prevent them from being involved in criminal activities to make ends meet.

He has been running his business in the township for more than eight years and felt the need to give back because of the community’s support of his pharmacy.

“Business owners should help young people who are eager for education but whose families can not afford to pay for them,” says Ntiwane.

He promises to continue supporting the community.

On behalf of the three young people who received help from Tiwane, Walaza thanked him.

“We see that our future is bright because of the help from Tiwane,” he says.

He says after completing the course and finding a job, they promise to also help young people further their studies.

Walaza believes education is a master key which is able to open all doors of success.

“The youth need education to fight poverty and create a better future,” he adds.
