House robbery in KwaThema

KwaThema - A family lost a TV set and two cellphones during a house robbery.

The incident took place last Friday, at around 8pm, in Buti Street, KwaThema.

KwaThema police spokesman Capt Mandla Phori says 27-year-old brothers were at home when three men stormed into the house.

The robbers assaulted the victims before taking a TV set, two cellphones and R900 cash and fleeing the scene.

A 27-year-old suspect was later arrested.

He is facing a charge of house robbery and is expected to appear in the KwaThema Magistrates Court, soon.
