Mighty Falcons crowned SLFA Champions

KwaThema - After not losing a single game, the Mighty Falcons premier team were crowned the Springs Local Football Association (SLFA) Champions last Saturday.

According to the team’s senior coach, Jabulani Mashinini, the team has played 30 games since the start of the season in September.

Of these, the team won 24 games and the six others ended in a draw.

Speaking about the secret to his team’s success, Mashinini says hard work and discipline made them champions.

He says before the start of the season, players and the team management had a target to reach the next level – the SAB League.

According to Mashinini, the Mighty Falcons are the only team in Kwatsaduza to win the SLFA League.

Mashinini says the team is now preparing for the SAB League play-offs which will be held on June 20.

The venue for the play-offs will be announced soon.

Team captain Dumisani Nxumalo thanks the team’s supporters and fans, and promised they would not disappoint in the play-offs.

“The team is ready and I have no doubt we will play in and win the SAB League next season,” says deputy team captain Mduduzi Mbukwane.
