Hip hop has a new sound
A hip hop artist believes his new sound is the best thing to happen to Mzansi's music industry.
Desmond Maluleke (31) from the Limpopo province is setting a new music trend with his new style of Xitsonga hip hop, the Hip hop ya Magaza .
Nkosinathi Dladla (24) from Tsakane, an up-and-coming hip hop artist, believes it will be popular among hip hop fans.
He says it is time to introduce something new to the industry.
“Times change and people want to listen to different styles of hip hop,” says Dladla.
Thulani Nkosi (26) from Langaville, however, is of a different view.
He thinks Hip hop ya Magaza will take time to become accepted.
“I doubt fans will fall in love with this new music Maluleke is introducing, because only a few people understand Xitsonga,” he says.
Sibongile Nhleko says hip hop is the only music she listens to and she cannot wait to listen to Hip hop ya Magaza .
