Springs police spokesman Captain Johannes Ramphora says the robbery took place at around 9am.
He says the victim, who works as an assistant at the shop, was on his way out when the suspects armed, with firearms, stormed inside the shop.
Ramphora says one of the suspects pointed a firearm at the victim while the other one went behind a counter and the third suspect used a black plastic bag to carry radios and a number of speakers that he stole from the shop.
No shots were fired and the police are looking for the suspects.
