Education awareness campaign at Bolithando Park
Residents gathered in numbers at Bolithando Park last Friday for the awareness on education campaign.
Secretary of the KwaThema ANC Gify Mashiya says, they are creating educational awareness in the community of Kwatsaduza.
Mashiya says they have seen the challenges of students who do not have uniforms and food to go to school with so as an organization they have decided to help previously disadvantaged students at Langaville Secondary School and Tlakula Secondary School.
He says they have realised there is a lack of functionality with the School Governing Bodys (SGB) in Kwatsdaduza schools therefore the organisation had to intervene.
Chairman of the ANC Youth League, Humphrey Mabena says they are encouraging young people to go back to school and they provide information on bursaries and the institutions they want to further their studies at.
Mabena concludes they are recreating the learner, parent and teacher relationship to schools.
