Orlando Pirates Supporters Branch honor academic students
The Orlando Pirates Supporters Branch hosted their third annual academic awards on Tuesday morning at Theo Twala Primary School.
Public Relations Officer from the supporters branch, Sipho Hlophe, says they are encouraging children from different schools in Kwatsaduza to be academically motivated scholars.
Hlophe says children must find a balance between sports and academics.
According to Hlophe they will be rotating to different schools to encourage youngsters to believe in education.
He says the schools which were invited to this prestigious occasion are Fred Habedi Primary School, Nkabinde Primary School and Theo Twala Primary School.
He adds these awards are for the 2014 top achievers in the various primary schools.
Teacher from Theo Twala Primary School, Nombuyiselo Simelane says she is not only a huge fan of Orlando Pirates but also works hand in hand with the branch members to motivate the students.
During the event she encouraged the students to keep up the outstanding work and improve were they can.
