There were taking the Springs Daveyton turn off when they were stopped by two alleged EMPD officers.
Captain Johannes Ramphora, spokesman for the Springs police, says it is believed the so-called officers stopped the truck pretending to check the fire extinguishers on the truck.
The alleged officers asked the driver and his colleague to get out of the truck.
These two alleged officers got in the truck and drove off with the truck loaded with liquor.
Ramphora says the driver and his colleague were left stranded.
