‘I am a born leader’

Age did not stop Innocent Ximba becoming what he believes God wants him to be, that is becoming a leader.

Innocent (18) from KwaThema White City section is not just a young person from the township but he is a preacher, a leader and a motivational speaker.

He did his primary and secondary education at the Geluksdal Primary and Secondary School.

Because of his love for the young people, Innocent is also a youth leader at the St Andrews Anglican Church.

At the age of 18-years Innocent is already a pastor and he fully understands the purpose that God sent him to this earth to fulfil.

To give back hope to the young people who have already given up and lost hope, Innocent is conducting motivational sessions at Kenneth Masikela High School in KwaThema every Tuesdays during the afternoon.

At the moment Innocent is busy with drug awareness campaigns for the youth of Kwatsaduza.

“I can not sit and fold my arms while our young people perish,” said Innocent, adding that he will do all in his power to ensure that he brings back the dignity, confidence and passion to succeed to the youth residing in and around Kwatsaduza.

Innocent believes that the youth needs other young people to rescue and help them see the purpose to fight for what they believe in.

Suffering from depression and not coming from a rich family did not shatter Innocent’s dream.

He opened his own company called Dominion events management this year.

Giving a word of motivation to the youth Innocent said the real success starts with a dream and working towards it despite the challenges along the way.

“Others may refer to young people as a lost generation but I know that if one has a dream he will never get lost but will work towards fulfilling that dream,” said Innocent.

To get motivated, listen to other young people sharing their stories and getting more information on how to start and maintain your own business while also getting free career guidance be an audience at the leadership seminar to be hosted by Innocent Ximba at the St Andrews Anglican Church in KwaThema in October.
