Kwa-Thema Disability Club nominated for team of the year with disability
The Kwa-Thema Disability Club was nominated by the provincial awards.
Kwa-Thema – The Kwa-Thema Disability Club was nominated for team of the year with disability 2023 in the Gauteng Sports Awards.
The announcement came on Thursday at Chief Mogale Hall in Krugersdorp.
“This award nomination came at a time we didn’t expect. I am happy with the nomination. Our children worked hard and deserve this,” said club chairperson and para-athletics coach Aubrey Mathibela.
“We are also grateful to the community of Kwa-Thema and the parents for their support.
We also thank Jabu Kubheka for always supporting us during trials because he always provides us with transport. Also, Willy Msomi, who always pays for the children’s affiliation in the club,” said Mathibela.
The date for the award ceremony is yet to be announced.
