Kwa-Thema Striders Athletic Club celebrated their achievements
Some of the members have been participating in the annual marathon for over 12 years.
Kwa-Thema – Kwa-Thema Striders celebrated the 28 members who participated in the 2023 Comrades Marathon on Saturday.
On June 11, 28 of its members participated and completed the 87.9km Comrades Marathon. Some of the members have been participating in the annual marathon for over 12 years.
The award winners were set in the following categories.
Sanele Ximba Silver Medal, Buti Namo, Hosea Maila, Tshepo Mogotlane Bill Rowen and Sibusiso Mlangetya for both Bill Rowen and double green number (20 years running the marathon).

During the event, the runners were acknowledged for their diligence, enthusiasm and passion which was displayed during the preparation for the Comrades.
Club chairperson Skosana Sipho said the fundamental purpose was to encourage and motivate their members to be purposely driven, not to settle for the average but to do more and become the best.
“It is significant to ensure that we all take care and embrace our talent so that we can be role models to our community and the youth.
Skosana said, on behalf of the Kwa-Thema Striders, he is thankful for all.
