EMPD members recover a stolen car in Kwa-Thema

Kwa-Thema – Members of the EMPD recovered a white Mazda sedan on the corner of Tukela and Vlakfontein roads near Ext 7 on Friday.

The members spotted the suspicious-looking car during a crime prevention operation in the area.

Officers discovered the vehicle was reported stolen from the Far East Rand Hospital.

EMPD spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Kelebogile Thepa said registering the case was done at the Springs Police Station.

“The recovered Mazda was impounded at the nearest police station for safekeeping,” she said.
