Legendary runner Sara Mahlangu shot in Tsakani

Tsakani -Thema – Seasoned runner Sara Mahlangu is fighting for her life in the hospital after being shot during an attempted robbery at her tavern on Saturday.

The Soweto Marathon champion and Comrades gold medalist was admitted to the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital, where she is awaiting surgery.

Her family disclosed Mahlangu was seriously injured during the incident.

Tsakani police are investigating a case of attempted murder.
