Residents demand justice for murdered Fezile

Slovo Park residents are demanding justice for murdered Fezile Limako.

Kwatsaduza – The community of Slovo Park in Phase One woke up to the news of the murder of Fezile Limako (30) in the early hours of Tuesday.

His mutilated body was found near the soccer ground on Welgedacht Road.

The deceased’s aunt, Lettie Limako, said Fezile left home on Sunday afternoon to meet friends at a local tavern to play snooker.

“He didn’t return that evening and because he sleeps in the outside room, I thought he would return.

“On Monday afternoon, he was still missing and didn’t report for work. I tried to call him on his cellphone, but it was off.

“His friend told us they last saw him on Sunday night after he took off after being involved in a fistfight with a group of drunk men,” she added.

Limako believes her nephew was killed somewhere else and his body dumped at the soccer ground.

“Though he was badly injured, he was not covered in blood. I am pleading with the police to find the suspects and bring them to book.

“We will not rest until his killers are brought to book,” she said.

Concerned resident Maria Skhosana said they are shocked and fear for their safety after the state Fezile’s body was found in.

“We are questioning our safety because the suspects are still free and might strike again,” she added.

Springs Police spokesperson Sergeant Themba Tshabalala confirmed they are investigating a case of murder.

“The suspects are still at large, and investigations are still underway. We are calling on anyone who might know the identity of the suspects or their whereabouts to come forward,” he added.
