Some lost while others won the last games of the year
LFA is closed for the year.
Kwa-Thema – Springs Local Football Association saw the last senior games of the year played on Sunday.
Some of the games which took place were between Real Barcelona FC against Nkele Smiling Bees FC, Sibiya FC vs
Jealous Down FC, Tornado Lions FC vs Young Masters FC and Sanders United FC vs Mangethe Sporting FC.
Real Barcelona coach Lebogang Lekubu said, “We played well as we scored first. Our goal came in very early in the game then after we played defensive football. In the last second of the game Smiling Bees equalised.”
The game ended in a one-all draw. Jealous Down beat Sibiya FC 4-3.

Richard Makhubo, Jealous Down coach, said, “It was a tough game. We were leading the game 4-1 at the break but Sibiya didn’t quit.”
Tornado Lions lost 2-1 against Young Masters. Young Masters coach Sydney Molefe said, “We pushed for three points.”
Sanders United beat Mangethe Sporting 3-1.
Mangethe coach Sabelo Simelane said, “I’m not happy with our result as it was our last game this year and we have now lost two games consecutively as we couldn’t train for the game. We don’t have a ground therefore things are difficult for us.”
The season will resume on February 2.
