New Visible Policing (Vispol) Commander ready to fight crime in Tsakani.

Tsakani – Tsakani police has a new visible policing commander, Lieutenant Colonel Petrus Bafana Mabuza.

Mabuza has served the community under the SAPS for 32 years and served in Tsakani for 27 years. He also served as a communication officer between 2006 and 2016.

Tsakani police spokesperson Sergeant Lerato Mngomezulu said during his term in the area, Mabuza served with leadership qualities and skills.

“He also served the community with dignity and integrity; dedicated to his work. He believes the police’s place is in the streets to make the community safe and feel safe,” she added.

Mabuza believes in partnership with stakeholders and working with the community in preventing and fighting crime.

“Now that I am back in Tsakani, I will be joining hands with the Tsakani SAPS team and bringing more skills I’ve learned while away to combat crime.

“I am looking forward to working with the members and expecting work to be done to fight crime in the area.

“Every member must play their part to serve the community and work with disciplined members to deliver what is expected from the police,” he added.
