DUSOK and other stakeholders hosts SAFWA – Bua Mosadi Sports Finale

16 days of activism commemorated in sport

Kwatsaduza – Dusty Sports Occasional Knockouts NPO (DUSOK) in partnership with Gauteng Department of Community Safety: Take Charge Sports Sector, Department of Sports, Sibanyoni ka Nzima Foundation, The Spark Active Play and Palamente Unlimited Talents (PUT) will be hosting a Sports Activism for Women Abuse (SAFWA) – Bua Mosadi Sports Finale in commemoration of 16 Days Activism for No Violence against Women and Children which takes place annually from November 25 to December 10.

DUSOK secretary Mandla Gininda said, “SAFWA is a campaign that engages female athletes with the community to create awareness that Unites society in the fight to end GBVF.”

SAFWA – Bua Mosadi Sports Finale will be hosted as follows:
November 25 – Primary school soccer for boys at Zithembeni Primary School in Kwa-Thema.
November 26 – Netball at Palamente netball ground in Langaville Ext One, Langaville.
December 3 – Women legends soccer teams at Ntokozweni ground in Kwa-Thema.
December 4 – Two masters teams and two supporters’ branches at the Langaville Ext Seven ground in Langaville.
December 10 – Four ladies’ soccer teams at the Langaville Ext One ground in Langaville.

“We invite you to take part in this five-day activism for breaking the silence against GBV,” concluded Gininda.
Gininda said the community’s participation in these programmes will be highly appreciated.
