Residents educated about crime

Police educate residents about crime

Duduza – Duduza police took time out from chasing criminals to educate residents about crime on Saturday.

The awareness campaign was aimed at sensitising residents about substance abuse, hijacking and other crimes.

The campaign was supported by Women as Safety Promoters, Youth Desk, CPF the GBV Brigades and women of faith from I.O.T Temple.

Duduza police spokesperson Sergeant Harry Manaka urged residents to act against GBV and report any criminal acts to the police.

“For police to win the fight against this monster, we need the community to be on board.

“All forms of crime must be reported to the police and all suspects, even those you are related to, need to be reported. It is a criminal case to hide criminals from the police,” he added.
