Tsakani residents demand protection during march

Tsakani police spokesperson Sergeant Lerato Mngomezulu urged residents to work together in protecting future leaders.

Tsakani – Parents and children in Tsakani brought Kgakga and Modjadji streets to a standstill last Wednesday demanding to be protected and to stop the abuse of women and children.
The campaign was part of a child protection awareness campaign organised by the Tshepo Hope Care and Counselling Centre and Tsakani SAPS.

Tsakani police spokesperson Sergeant Lerato Mngomezulu urged residents to work together in protecting future leaders.
“We should go back to the basics of the notion that it takes a village to raise a child.
“NGOs and local businesses, all stakeholders, should work together in making awareness of the pandemic of abuse of woman and children,” she added.
