Duduza – Parolee Tlatsi Chapule opened fire in the Duduza home of his former girlfriend on Sunday night.
This caused injuries to the young woman and her mother before turning the gun on himself.
He shot Angela Maleka three times and her mother Kettie Maleka twice in the upper body.
Chapule was declared dead on the scene. Angela is still fighting for her life in the ICU while her mother was discharged and is recovering at home.

It is alleged Chapule forced his way into the home on Sunday afternoon and demanded to speak to Angela.
The couple started dating in February and Angela ended the relationship last week.
Kettie said she had met Chapule in the street earlier that day and while they exchanged pleasantries he apologised.
“I didn’t understand what he was apologising for and at the time I didn’t pay much attention to it,” she added.
Chapule served eight years in prison for hijacking and was released in January.
Duduza police spokesperson Sergeant Harry Manaka confirmed the incident is under investigation.
