Orlando Pirates suffers second loss to Kaizer Chiefs this season

The loss forced the team to move from its second position to the fourth position on the PSL log.

Kwatsaduza – Local Orlando Pirates supporters are disappointed by the team’s 2-1 loss to their rival, Kaizer Chiefs, during the Soweto Derby on Saturday.
The loss forced the team to move from their second position to the fourth position on the PSL log.
This was the team’s second loss to Kaizer Chiefs in one season.
While the team was fighting to finish first, a group of angry supporters were picketing outside Orlando Stadium, demanding the reopening of stadiums.
Orlando Pirates supporter Rangwane Matlabunyane said the team’s loss afforded Kaizer Chiefs some bragging rights for now.

“We will recover and move back to the second position soon. This is only a small stumbling block on our way to the top of the log.
“All we have to do is give coach Mandla Ncikazi the space to work his magic,” he added.
Rangwange added he is urging the minister of sports and recreation, Nathi Mthethwa, to engage the Covid-19 regulation board to allow supporters to be inside the stadiums.
“Supporters are left in the dark and no one wants to shed some light on the reopening of stadiums.
“We have over the past two years complied with Covid-19 regulations, and now we want to know what the way forward is,” he explained.
