The team’s head coach Moses Ngwenya acknowledged the teams’ efforts in representing the club well.
“As a club, we would like to congratulate all our players for a job well done. They have represented the club well and we couldn’t be more proud,” he said.
Presently, the team is preparing for their next upcoming tournament to be held in Benoni in December.
The win comes with a bit of a bittersweet moment as they continue to face challenges relating to the tennis court.
“We are aggrieved about the deteriorating conditions of the tennis courts.
“The fence of the court was recently stripped down and the surface of the court is wearing off due to rocks and pieces of glass from beer bottles.

“Members of the community continue to use it as a place for recreational drinking,” he said.
They are pleading with community members to assist with preserving the courts by reporting any suspicious or odd behaviour to law enforcement.
“We would love to one day see and witness these courts being used for tournament purposes but we cannot do so at the moment due to the state they are in,” said Ngwenya.
