Music heals me – local singer

He began singing in the late '90s being part of a clap-and-tap choir.

Kwa-Thema – Kwatsaduza’s talented singer Jabulani Masemola (36) needs your votes to be crowned this season’s Sing Your Heart winner.
The artist has entered season two of the reality show, which is airing on DStv channel 260 on Mondays from 16:00 until 17:00.
He began singing in the late ’90s being part of a clap-and-tap choir.

Since then, he has competed in and won several singing competitions.
“Music heals me. When I am on stage or in the studio, I forget about my problems.
“I entered this competition as I need a breakthrough and your votes will give me that chance to get my much-deserved breakthrough,” explained Masemola.
He said being part of the show is not only for him but he is representing his community.
His advice to up-and-coming artists is to be mindful of record labels offering deals that do not benefit them.

“It is important to be in charge of your own royalties to avoid having someone controlling your creative work.
“We also need to benefit from our own hard work because we put in the effort,” he stated.
