Young Achievers United Ladies FC champions of inaugural women’s soccer tournament

Dusty Sports Occasional Knockouts (DUSOK) NPO partnered with Sibanyoni Ka Nzima Foundation to host the Bold Ladies Soccer tournament.

Langaville – Female soccer players showed off their skills on Saturday morning at the Langaville Extension Eight Ground.
Dusty Sports Occasional Knockouts (DUSOK) NPO partnered with the Sibanyoni Ka Nzima Foundation to host the Bold Ladies Soccer Tournament.
The inaugural tournament will be hosted annually.
Four teams took part in the tournament with the semi-final started by Shine On Us FC vs Young Achievers United Ladies. Young Achievers United Ladies were victorious with a score of 8-0.
The second game was Razzmatazz Succeedors vs Glory Women Sports Academy. Razzmatazz won the game 2-1 against their opponents.

Club prepares for tournament

Glory Women Sports Academy and Shine On Us FC battled it out on the field for the third position. Glory Women Sports Academy took the number three spot, winning 1-0 and putting Shine On Us FC in the fourth position.
Everyone was on their feet as Razzmatazz Succeedors and Young Achievers United Ladies battled it out for the first place.
Razzmatazz Succeedors number four Ncamisile Dlamini scored an opening goal for her team.
When hope was lost for the opposition, Nhlanhla Maite, number nine, equalised for Young Achievers United Ladies.
Both teams showed a hunger for the number one position.
Young Achievers United Ladies number 15 Lebogang Mageza scored a winning second goal, making the team the champions of the first annual Bold Ladies Soccer Tournament.
Dlamini was crowned the Diski Queen and received a trophy.

All four teams received medals, food parcels and sanitary towels.
The runners-up received pens and the winners received a trophy and drawstring bags containing hats and pens.
The young women received career guidance and words of encouragement.
“We concluded that the game was over after we scored the first goal. My players started to relax. But I am very proud they placed second.
“There is room for improvement and we will be back again to win,” said Thokozani Ndebele, the coach for Razzmatazz Succeedors.
The Young Achievers United Ladies coach, John Manana, said: “Dedication and team spirit made us champions.
“We are ready to defend our title in the second annual Bold Ladies Tournament.”
The organisers said the most important thing was to educate people that women can play excellent soccer like men and that the tournament was another way of standing up against gender-based violence.
