Police partner with churches to fight GBV

The police form a partnership with churches to address GBV.

Duduza – The SAPS has partnered with local churches in an effort to fight gender-based violence (GBV).
In continued efforts to fight GBV, a multi-sectoral approach is being adopted by government departments as prescribed in the National Strategic Plan on GBV.

As a result, the local police in partnership with the Department of Community Safety were given an opportunity to present the role that can be played by the churches to forge and enhance partnerships in the fight against GBV.
Present at the event were church leaders from all over Ekurhuleni who made commitments to partner with all government departments, including the police, social workers, education and others through relentless interventions to address GBV.
