Local author releases book on Ishmael
I spent many sleepless nights and sacrificed my time doing research about the main character of the book.
Kwa-Thema- Born and bred in Kwa-Thema, self-published author Doctor Mthimunye has released a book titled The Identity of Ishmael.
His book was inspired by his Christian journey, which he began in 1993.
“I researched from 2013 on the subject, which is the name of my book. This book tells the untold story about Abraham’s family and the birth of Ishmael,” said the author.
The 45-year old explained the book will be useful to Christians so they can learn hidden stories within the bible. The book was released in July.

The author revealed he is working on three new books, the titles of which will be revealed at a later stage.
“I plan to hold a book launch event very soon with Covid-19 regulations in place so that I can engage with people physically about the book.
“It was not an easy ride to finish this book and publish it myself. I spent many sleepless nights and sacrificed my time researching the main character of the book.
“Getting funds for publishing was a bit challenging as well, but I have pulled through and will continue to release more books. I hope my community will support me,” he said.
The 140-paged book is available in hard copy.
