Fire claims family home

She added she is grateful the minor escaped unharmed even though she was trapped inside the house for some time.

Tsakani – A fire reduced the Tlhabi home to ashes on Friday afternoon.
It is alleged the fire started in one of the bedrooms where plugs were not working.
Eunice Tlhabi explained she was at the hospital for a check-up when she received a call from her neighbours informing her about the incident.

“All I prayed for was that my 13-year-old granddaughter, who was trapped inside the house during the fire, survived.
“She was rushed to the local doctor for smoke inhalation but escaped with no injuries.
“She explained she was in the kitchen when she heard people screaming from outside that the house was on fire.
“When she opened the door leading to the bedrooms the flames were already spreading to the other parts of the house,” said Tlhabi.

She added she is grateful the minor escaped unharmed even though she was trapped inside the house for some time.
The family has lost everything in the fire and is pleading with anyone who can help them rebuild the house to come forward.
