Soccer legends embrace one of their own

“The initiative seeks to reach out to former players and bridge the gap, especially in social issues,” explained Bull Sibeko, a former Witbank Aces player.

The Kwa-Thema branch of the South African Masters and Legends Football Association visited legendary soccer player Milton Nkosi at his Payneville home on Wednesday morning.
“The initiative seeks to reach out to former players and bridge the gap, especially in social issues,” explained Bull Sibeko, a former Witbank Aces player.

Nkosi, at the height of his career at Orlando Pirates, sustained an injury that forced him to hang up his soccer boots.
“The gesture is for him to know we remember him. He has made an indelible mark in our lives.
“We want former players to join the organisation.

Cutter Mnguni, Jimmy “Music Man” Mahlangu, Oscar Motswiane and Bull Sibeko paid homage to Milton Nkosi (middle) at his home in Payneville on Wednesday.

“There is so much we can still impart on each others’ lives,” said Oscar Motswine, a former Home Sweepers player.
The group donated groceries to the family of the legend.
“I am so happy to see these guys, I feel revived. The memories of those days are flooding my mind,” said Nkosi.
Any former players that hope to connect with the organisation can contact Cutter Mnguni on 082 043 6112.
