“We urge residents to continue working with the police to fight crime in the area.”

Kwa-Thema – The Selope Thema branch of MKMVA marched to the Kwa-Thema Police Station last Tuesday to hand over a memorandum of grievances regarding an increase in violent crimes.

Community members pleaded with the police to act swiftly and harshly with criminals and, most importantly, deal with the rise in car hijackings in the area and gender-based violence.
Kwa-Thema police spokesperson Const Nkululeko Makudulelo said the march was peaceful and confirmed receipt of the memorandum.
“We urge residents to continue working with the police in fighting crime in the area.
“If we work together, we can beat crime,” he said.
