KwaThema – Local DJ Hlubi Sithole, stage name FantasyDJ, is embarking on a sanitary towel collection and donation campaign to empower girls in schools.
FantasyDJ is a house music and club DJ with a focus on deep and soulful sound. He has been DJing since 2016.
“The purpose of the campaign is to encourage young girls to talk about the challenges they go through. I wanted to create a safe space for them where they are able to express themselves and feel safe.

“My involvement is mainly to challenge stereotypes surrounding periods,” said FantasyDJ.
He added that his vision is to see young girls not missing school due to lack of sanitary towels.
“Learners living in poverty are more likely to be absent from school due to the lack of resources such as sanitary pads.
“Working together can help make a difference which is why I am pleading with the community to assist me in achieving my goal.
“My target is to give away over 200 packs of sanitary towels to different schools within Kwatsaduza,” he said.
