Police warns about scammers

Tsakani – SAPS is appealing to anyone who has had their vehicle stolen or hijacked to be aware of scammers who will call and claim to be police.
Tsakani police spokesperson Sgt Lerato Mngomezulu said the scammers will claim that the vehicle has been recovered.

“They will go on to mention a location that is far from where you are and request that you send money for petrol and toll gates to deliver the car.
“We are urging residents to refrain from entertaining such claims and report them to the police.
“The police will never request any money for transportation of properties or vehicles or to solve any matter,” she said.
