“As members of the club, we are saying enough is enough and our message is clear. “We are tired of the killing of women and children. “With this campaign we are showing our support and taking a stand against gender-based violence,” he said. He added it is important for men to be part of the solution as they are the cause of these issues. Const Sibongile Nxumalo from the EMPD Social Crime Prevention Unit said the campaign was in preparation for the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children campaign. “It is nice to see men come out in their numbers to fight the fight that has long been fought by women. “Gender-based violence, child abuse and human trafficking are some of the major issues we as a country are trying to combat. “We as the crime unit decided to collaborate with them since this area is one of the most affected in terms of reported cases,” she explained.
