The 18-year-old model has been shortlisted as a semi-finalist in an online beauty pageant, Empress South Africa.
“I discovered a lot about myself through the pageant such as how I can effectively tackle any challenge presented before me in order to achieve the goal at hand.
“I am goal-driven and open-minded, which is how I got to be a brand ambassador for a local media house,” she said.

Thandeka explained how the pageant has inspired her to go back to school.
“I have enrolled with St Anthony Learning Centre to upgrade my matric results.
“I would like to further my studies so I can make a difference in my community.
“I enjoy reading books in my spare time,” she added.
